hammocks and palm trees

well, life is good to say the least.
im here at eckerd college in st. petersburg to read, learn and get some sun. i thought vcu was awsome, so is this place. literally, they have yellow bikes laying everywhere for anyone to use for any period of time to get whereeeeverr you want. there is a beach, hamocks, palm fron shacks. and then a library to top it all off!? awsome!??!?!?!??!?!??! alyssa gave me a tent so that when i decide to bike out to the island where all the nature is i have a place to sleep in other then... the sand. lol. i am loving life right now so much. i have an awsome book alyssa also gave me about a female nomad who travels alone... sounds pretty intresting... haha. im going to take a bellydancing class in an hour, taht should be great.

st petersburg is awsome. i love it so much. alyssa and natalie made me feel sooo welcome and showed me around town. we went to a great coffee shop last night, friday night we went to a halloween party that i wore one of alyssas middle eastern headresses to... and there was sooo many little treats and snacks everywhere. yummms! we checked out some old graveyards, went to the beach.. learned a little about the history of the town which is so intresting.. and chatted all morning drinking coffee and eating omletsssss yesss!

well, im off to go maybe play some volleyball and laze in the hamocks.....

lol i dont even know where to begin. lets start with i am in st petersburg FL and its fuckkinng beautiful.

i left richmond on the bus to orlando then clearwater.
after a night of being stalked by crazy men,moving seats every hour because i would keep waking up to some strange jamacian man STARING AT ME IN THE SEAT NEXT TO ME ??!?! listening to strangers hooking up in the seat behind me last night... it was a crazy night, but nothing... NOTHING.. can compare to today in orlando. LOLOLOLOL

i arrived in orlando with the intent of sneaking onto the keywest bus. well, i got kicked off.. twice.
i decided to just go with origanl destination of getting to clearwater to make things easier.

i met a lady who had been living out on the streets for 7 days, because her and her husbands car had broke down outside the greyhound on the way to detriot. well, last night i guess he went around to look for some mones to steal out of cars and got caught, leaving her with only herself because.. WHOOPS? he had 3 felony warrents out for his arrest. hes going to be locked up for about 4-6 years. well, we got some coffee and i shared some tips about sneaks.

next, i met two sisters from northern fl.
what follows is what i sent shalane via text as it was happening:

ok... i am officially in the deep south. this story is a play by play of what i am witnessing right now. no joke.

two sisters who are very hot, but trashy met this guy in orlando who is not hot.. but young. everyone has deep southern accents.

we get on the bus. the blonde sits next to the guy. the bathroom door keeps flying open and the smell of piss and shit fills the bus. i get up and tie the door closed with a string.

i notice the sisters are cutting up straws and cutting powder. i wonder what they are snorting. i wonder, if they will share.

a few mins lafter i hear them screaming at the young man and laughing telling him to snort the meth and take the oxy cotin

relectantly, he agrees. ten mins later -now- the blonde proclaims the wants to "suck his cock"

that is what she is doing RIGHT NOW. in front of the WHOLE BUS. LOLolOOLOL

lol and the best part about this is, while this is all going on, the couple behind them starts to have FULL BLOWN SEX.

i get dropped off in st petes... well kicked off rather, and i am staying with alyssa and natalie, across from the high school jim morrison went to ....
ahhhh.. it was all worth it for the stalking i am going to do tomarrow :)

well im going to fl today on a greyhound hopefuly because i can't do anymore extreme biking with these legs.. they need a ressttt! i can't wait to be on the beach in fl anymore so it will be really chill to get down there and see deanna and wendy soon yayyee! im going into clearwater which is only a little bit over 100 miles from fort myers beach! after some relax i can definatly make that ride in a couple days. i cant wait to go to the earth ship either! that will be so awsome to learn how to build.

hopefully i will be able to score some jobies along the way!! i definatly need to start eating better on my rides, i think that is part of the reason ive been having a hard time making the long exersions because i dont have enough money to properly feed myself lol.. yukies?!

richmond

well by the grace of God i made it to richmond. got in last night and me and safiya are having a good time around the city. we are doing some MANual labor tomarrow for some mones so i hope that we can handle all the manlyness of the job. ... lol i have faith that we are strong enough to pull it off... ahaha... lol richmond is great though everyone ive met so far has been so helpful and hospitatble?!? i dont know how to spell that but u know. 

i started out of fredericksburg yesterday and was riding for miles and miles thorugh the battlefeilds from the civil war so it was a lot of beautiful forests and ..... unfortunatly.. HILLS GALORE. i got lost for a long while in some cornfeilds i finally made my way back to 95. as the sun was setting i learned that i was still 35 miles from richmond so i luckily found this couple who gave me a lift down here. ive been learning that positive vibes and persistance is the definate way to go in any situation. also keeping a cool head and not panicking.... thats been the rough part but i guess obviously im doing a good job at it.

 i miss everyone so much.. exspecaily davey that has been the hardest part for me so far not having him to guide me because i am very much on my own.

welllll that just makes it more adventourus and that is what i was looking for!! adventure deffffinattly found. :)

fredericksburg vA

wellllll fredericksburg was greatt.. im still here right now but im about to leave for richmond. i have good vibes about it. its going to be a great ride, im very very pumped about it because....

its SUNNY and SOMEWHAT WARM OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES YES YES!!!! FIRST DAY ITS NOT RAINING AND COLD YET!!!!! last night i got in here via hitchiking with a spy from d.c. becuase i was really lost and it was almost dark i took the ride and was in for a great treat of stories and him fixing up my bike pretty good.

i got in last night and john and his roomate sang some really good jams..i was pretty glad about this bc i hadn't heard music in DAYYSSS expecially good music. after that we saw football on tv and became inspired to go play it in the mud. after that for a little while we made mud angels and looked up at the stars.. it was great. now im listening to johnny cash and getting prepared for the ride to richmond! can't wait to get there.. i better goooooO!!!!

d.c.

well i love d.c. its a really buzzing city. when i first got here i was like, super super excited i had such good vibes. im really starting to get in a good groove and figure out what i need to do to accomplish this trip. it takes a lot more thought then i had origanly planned as far as eating goes.

the first thing that caught my eye was the SPY MUSEUM!!!!!!!!!!!!?!!??? i went in to the spy cafe next door and i was soooo excited i was reading things about all the spies in d.c.

I LOVE SPYING

it was really funny because like ten mins before i found the spy cafe deanna texts me and asks me to spy on her facebook. i spent the afternoon trying to find a bike shop and a grocery store. i found a whole foods so that was a major score. after that i met up with victoria at american university. its defintalty a beautiful campus. we are watching alice in wonderland right now lol. aparently about three weeks ago she got an email for a job with the cia or something like that to be a secret agent... unfortunatly she didn't take the job. im glad i found a fellow spy.

annapolis.

well i guess things don't always go to plan. im about 10 miles outside annapolis "casually" staying at this random hotel. im listening to some guy who is really mad because he didn't bring 100 bucks for the deposit. its making me sad that everything is supposed to cost mones but doesn't really have to.

it rained all day today, i got soaking wet and to top it off, got about 20 MILES off course. so im really really beat. im sad i didnt make it to annapolis but im definatly going to have to slow my pace a little bit because i am SOOoooOO sore for some reason, maybe its the rain making my joints uncomfortable.

oh well, i hope tonight goes smoothly and i dont have to go sleep out in the rain ....>!!??!?

maryland

deleware was fun, stayed with a really nice girl named nicole. there was awsome artwork all over her apt. susan went home the next day and i continued to baltimore. its raining and cold outside which is really a shame, but at least i am moving away from it. lolol, silly things keep happening and i keep meeting really silly homies. they are my favs people to talk to.

once i got into baltimore i went over to this hotel and casually bummed the pool and sauna. that felt really nice and refreshing. after that i headed over to martines house, where she was was baking a cake. it was so nice to get out of the rain and walk into such a warm envirnment. then i heard her roomate liz say whatevs so i felt right at home.

now i am heading to annapolis. i dont have anyone to stay with there but i will just bum sleeps.
i am starting to aquire a lot of dirt on my body, i dont feel like showering or washing my clothes anymore.i just dont care, there is no point in trying to be pretty about this lol. YUCKIES?!??!

nervies

i couldn't really sleep last night because i'm so excited and nervous. im pretty excited for drum circle tonight, and i am also double nervous to go see david and tell him im actually going through with it in a couple hours. hes going to be really worried i think. i am too...lololol. i have faith that everything will be fine..
im really excited to get into deleware, i feel like that will be an accomplishment own its own, the girl im staying with seems so awsome, i think we are going to have a great time. then im off to baltimore on thursday which is about 120 miles so that should be intresting to see how my legs hold up. friday and saturday i'll be in d.c.... then fredericksburg... then richmond and from there i have no idea whats going on, a bunch of countryness for over 300 miles until wilmington n.c.

i hope theres no creepies lurking in the woods??!?!?
im the most scared about getting into FL and having an alligator chase my bike down the road.

ouch

lolol,today i fell off my bike and it hurt pretty bad, but it was also great because i couldn't move for a little while, so i got to look up at the clouds, which were very beautiful this afternoon while i was riding home. the fence. is broken. ahahhaa.
i am depressed only because i feel that it is getting worse as the night progresses, and this could hinder me from leaving on time to go down to FL.
well, whatever, i guess i can just ride with one arm, it should be fine.

i am sad that i have to leave the beautiful cabin david made in the woods. but that is really the only thing i am sad about. maybe he will just build me another one down in florida, and at least it is warm there. yuk about cold, last night was really cold

i am so excited and scared to go but i know its not going to be that big of a deal, i am just unsure about where i will be getting foods. i mapped out the course today and at the very most it will take me 5 weeks if i do between 20-50 miles a day, at the very least 2 weeks if i go about 100 miles a day. ill prolly go somehwere in between that if i find some cools to hang with.
